First City Singers is a non-auditioned choir program for "seniors" (65+) who love to sing and perform in our community. Rehearsals are on Mondays from 1-2pm at Headwaters Music & Arts, year round.

We perform the 3rd Monday of the month at Havenwood Care Center; the 3rd Wednesday at Gold Pine Homes; the 3rd Friday at Baker Park; the last Monday of the month at either WindSong or Northview Manor; and the 4th Thursday of the month at Neilson Place.

Scientists are learning more and more about the benefits music has on the human mind. Music awakens dormant memories. Singing inspires our brains to release endorphins and ultimately stave off negative feelings. In a nutshell, singing is good for you. https://ideas.time.com/2013/08/16/singing-changes-your-brain/

First City Singers is open to snowbirds, summer home folks, and year round Bemidji residents. We are always looking for new members!
