Building a More Inclusive Future at Headwaters

On Friday, June 13, we welcomed accessibility consultant Shannon Murray of North Star Inclusive Strategies for a collaborative workshop at Headwaters Music & Arts.

With community members, staff, and board present, we reviewed findings from a recent accessibility and inclusion audit—an in-depth look at how our spaces, programs, and outreach support people of all abilities.

Together, we celebrated strengths and identified action steps across five key areas:

  • Organizational Practices

  • Building & Maintenance

  • Board & Staff Development

  • Marketing & Communications

  • Programming & Community Outreach

This gathering marks more than a milestone—it’s a commitment. Guided by thoughtful feedback and shared values, we’re building a more inclusive, welcoming space for all to create, connect, and thrive.
