Have you always wanted to learn how to draw but weren’t sure where to start? This 10-week Adult Intro to Drawing class is your chance to unlock your creativity, gain confidence, and bring your ideas to life on paper.

Taught by local artist and educator Brett Wallin, this beginner-friendly course will guide you through essential techniques like observation, perspective, and shading. Each two-hour session is designed to inspire you with new skills while giving you space to experiment, explore, and discover your own artistic style.

More than just a class, this is a supportive community where you’ll meet others who are also starting their creative journey. Together, you’ll share ideas, celebrate progress, and leave each week feeling more confident in your ability to create.

By the end of the course, you’ll have:

  • A solid foundation in drawing, even if you’ve never drawn before

  • The tools and techniques to transform your ideas into art

  • Guidance from Brett Wallin, a passionate artist and teacher

  • Completed works you can be proud of

  • A renewed sense of creativity and inspiration

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could draw”—this is the perfect place to begin.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Community Arts Support Grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, funded by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State’s general fund and from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
