The Youth Rock Band Program at Headwaters Music & Arts is expanding into a school-year round format—giving students more time than ever to rehearse, grow their skills, and experience what it’s really like to be part of a band. This unique approach moves beyond short-term workshops or after-school clubs, allowing young musicians to dive deeper into their music, develop confidence on stage, and build lasting connections with their peers.
Your child will be guided by two exceptional instructors:
Brady Kacon – Percussion instructor at Headwaters Music & Arts, Bemidji State University Percussion Performance major, and professional performer with over 10 years of experience playing in bands. Brady brings expertise across a wide range of instruments—drums, percussion, piano, guitar, and more.
Casey Grangruth -
As a school-year round program, students will:
Spend extended time rehearsing and polishing songs together.
Build real-world collaboration skills by playing in a band setting.
Grow musically with the support of monthly guest instructors, who will introduce new techniques and inspire creativity.
Explore songwriting and develop their own musical voice.
This is a unique chance for your child to go beyond traditional lessons and experience the excitement, discipline, and creativity of being part of a rock band—an experience that will stay with them for life.
